Kingdom – 8/26/20

The spiritual sovereignty of God or Christ.
The domain in which the spiritual sovereignty of God or Christ extends, whether Heaven or on earth.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures all generations. The LORD is trustworthy in all He promises and faithful in all He does. Psalm 145:13

“…the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.” From that time on, Jesus began to preach, “Repent for the kingdom of Heaven has come near.” Mathew 4:16-17

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Mathew 6:9-10

So do not worry, saying “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Mathew 6;31-33

The kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he did it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. “again, the kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it. Mathew 18:3-4

“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven. Mathew 18:3-4

“What do you think? There was a man who had 2 sons. He went to the first and said “Son, go and work today in the vineyard.” “I will not,” he answered, but later he changed his mind and went. Then the father went to the other child and said the same thing. He answered, “I will, sir,” but he did not go. Which of the two did what his father wanted? “The first,” the answered. Jesus said to them “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. Mathew 21:28-31

“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needles than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other “Who then can be saved?”…”Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields-along with persecutions-and in the age to come eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.” Mark 10:25-26, 29-31

Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say “Here it is,” or “There it is,” because the kingdom of God is in your midst.” Luke 17:20-21

Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.” John 18:36

Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? James 2:5
